THE SCRIPTURES
(2 Timothy 3:15-17)
- We believe the Holy Bible is the infallible Word of God, written as He inspired men through the Holy Ghost.
THE TRUE GOD
(John 1:1-2; Matthew 3:16-17; 2 Corinthians 13:14)
-
We believe that there is only one true God.
-
The one true God is revealed as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, who share the same divine nature without division.
THE FALL OF MAN
(Genesis 1:27, 3:6-24; Romans 5:19)
- We believe that through Adam’s sin in the Garden of Eden, every human being is born separated from God and stands under His just and holy wrath. Humanity’s greatest need is reconciliation with God, and our only hope is His undeserved love, by which He alone rescues us and restores us to Himself.
THE WAY OF SALVATION
(John 1:14; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4; Romans 3:24–26; Acts 1:9–11)
- We believe the Lord Jesus Christ, who for us and for our salvation, came down from heaven, was conceived by the Holy Ghost, and born of the virgin Mary. He lived without sin, was crucified for our transgressions, and was buried. On the cross, He bore our guilt, satisfied the justice of God, and reconciled to the Father all who repent and believe. On the third day He rose bodily from the dead, in accordance with the Scriptures, triumphing over death and bringing eternal life to His people. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father, reigning as King over all creation and interceding as our High Priest and Advocate. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and His kingdom shall have no end.
JUSTIFICATION
(Isiah 53:5-6; Acts 4:12; Titus 2:11-12)
- We believe that Christ, through His perfect obedience and sacrificial death, fully satisfied the debt of all who are justified. By His life of obedience, He fulfilled the righteous demands of God’s law on our behalf. By His death, He bore in our place the punishment our sins deserved, satisfying divine justice and reconciling us to God. Salvation is found in Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. From this free justification flows a holy zeal for personal and public obedience.
SANCTIFICATION
(1 Thessalonians 4:3-4; Philippians 1:6; Hebrews 12:14)
-
We believe that sanctification is the process by which we are made partakers of the holiness of Christ. It is a progressive work, begun in regeneration, and carried forward in the hearts of believers by the presence and power of the Holy Spirit. We acknowledge that without holiness, no one shall see the Lord.
GLORIFICATION
(Romans 8:30; Philippians 3:20–21)
-
We believe that glorification is the final and full transformation of believers into the image of Christ. At His return, all who are in Christ will be delivered from sin and its effects, receiving incorruptible bodies and eternal, perfect holiness. In glorification, we shall be fully conformed to the likeness of Christ and dwell forever in the presence of God, sharing in His glory.
THE RESURRECTION
(Matthew 28:6-7; John 5:28-29; Daniel 12:2)
-
We believe that Jesus Christ rose bodily from the dead and now lives in His glorified body at the right hand of God. There will be a resurrection of all people. The bodies of the righteous will be transformed to conform to the glorious, spiritual body of Christ, while the bodies of the wicked will be raised to face eternal judgment.
ETERNAL DESTINY
(Revelation 20:11–15; Matthew 25:31–46)
- We believe that after the resurrection, all people will face final judgment. The righteous will enter eternal life with God in glory, and the wicked will experience eternal punishment.
SPIRITUAL GIFTS
(1 Corinthians 12:8–10; Acts 2:17–18)
- We believe that the Holy Ghost bestows spiritual gifts to believers for the building up of the Church. These gifts include, but are not limited to, wisdom, knowledge, faith, healing, miracles, prophecy, discernment, tongues, and interpretation of tongues. We affirm that these gifts are active and operative in the Church today, and that they are given to serve, encourage, and edify the body of Christ.
THE CHURCH
(Ephesians 1:22–23; 1 Corinthians 12:12–14; Matthew 28:19–20; Acts 1:8)
- We believe that the Church is the body of Christ, called to worship God, nurture believers, proclaim the gospel, make disciples of all nations, and extend His kingdom in the world. The Church is empowered by the Holy Ghost and is called to live holy lives as a testimony to God’s transforming power.
BAPTISM
(Acts 2:38)
-
We believe that Christian baptism is the immersion in water of a believer in the name of Jesus Christ, symbolizing repentance, cleansing from sin, and new life in Him.
THE LORD’S SUPPER
(1 Corinthians 11:23-26)
- The Lord's Supper is the commemoration of the death of the Lord Jesus, preceded by solemn self-examination.
